ABOUT VACANCY
At this time, we are looking for a Controller to join our team. The successful candidate must demonstrate very strong communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage overall day-to-day financial operations and processes within the company
• Develop and implement financial policies and systems
• Enforce internal financial controls and ensure that they are functioning efficiently, consistent with accounting standards, and upgraded regularly
• Monitor financial transactions and transaction processing
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, and other financial reports
• Monitor and report to management regarding annual budgets, debt, personnel costs, and other expenses
• Oversee budget, keep track of and analyze expenditures, and develop realistic budget plans enabling the company to maximize profits
• Oversee timely tax return filings
• Collaborate on financial decision-making, provide strategic analysis, attend management meetings to report on the company’s financial status, make recommendations to the management for long-term financial health and sustainability
QUALIFICATIONS
• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
• MBA degree is considered a strong asset
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial planning, financial management, or other financial activities
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• High level of integrity and work ethic
• Fluent English
WORK CONDITIONS
- Permanent, full-time position
- $62.40 per hour
- 35 hours of work per week
- Occasional overtime may be required with applicable overtime pay ($93.60/hr) after 44 hours of work per week
- Work location: 62 Railside Road, North York, ON M3A 1A3
