W2 Position ($80 to $105 per hour DOE)

Role Overview:

The Controller oversees HRT's Accounting Department, including Payroll, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting. This position collaborates with the CFO and funding partners to meet short- and long-term financial goals, ensuring adherence to GAAP and other regulations. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all Accounting Department functions (Accounts Payable/Receivable, Payroll, Financial Reporting).
Ensure compliance with GAAP, funding regulations, and organizational policies.
Supervise accounting staff, including the Assistant Controller and analysts.
Prepare and analyze financial reports (balance sheets, income statements, budget variances).
Oversee internal controls, audits, and reconciliations.
Support external audits and regulatory reviews.
Provide financial guidance to other departments.
Maintain compliance with HRT’s Environmental Management System (EMS).

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA or CMA preferred).

Experience:

10+ years of accounting experience, including 3 to5+ years in a supervisory role.

Skills:

Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs).
Proficiency in any financial software and systems (e.g., PS Finance, Citrix).
