Job Description:
The Operational Excellence Specialist will be responsible for the successful deployment of improvement projects aligned with the NBS Next initiatives that positively impact operational excellence objectives. In this position the leader will engage with all levels of the Packaging Division through detailed reporting and analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). The position will work to
create value by leading continuous improvement projects and initiatives which provide operational efficiency gains. This position works closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization to drive business insights and decision making.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Assist in the design, creation and maintenance of metric reporting tools which provide clear indication of performance against strategic objectives while highlighting system/process gaps (ex: PowerBI, MBR dashboards, Production Visual
Daily Management, etc.)
· Support operations in achieving Leadership Level Performance in OTD of Top products and DSI reduction efforts.
· Lead cross-functional projects and teams to improve and sustain customer delivery metrics utilizing root cause analysis techniques.
· Documentation of standard work for critical operations related business processes.
· Other projects and duties as assigned
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in related field (Business, Operations, Engineering) 3+ years of relevant experience
· 2-4 years of progressive project management and continuous improvement experience demonstrating business acumen, leadership, and ability to drive results
· Proficiency in Plant P&L analytics and lean thinking with application in both operations and transactional environments in a variety of situations.
· Experience and ability to effectively visualize and communicate with data to all levels across the division
· Ability to lead change using Change Management tools and techniques
Skills and Abilities
· Excellent analytical skills with strong working knowledge of problem solving, root cause analysis, and associated solution implementation
· Detail-oriented, self-starter with strong organization skills
· Proven ability to lead initiatives working collaboratively and independently in a dynamic environment
· Ability to think creatively and analytically
· Ability to influence key personnel at all levels of the organization
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint required
This position will be on site Monday through Friday at the Johns Creek location.
