Job Description
. Load, unload, and transport building materials.
. Operate cranes (both mobile and tower) to lift and move equipment and materials.
. Check equipment before use to make sure it’s safe and working properly.
. Read blueprints to understand what work needs to be done.
. Set up and take down concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, walkways, and safety barriers.
. Use pile-driving cranes to drive piles into the ground to support buildings and structures.
. Mix, pour, and spread materials like concrete and asphalt.
. Assist the medical examiner when needed.
. Help with positioning pipes during pipeline construction.
. Assist with building houses, framing walls, and putting up roofs.
. Level ground to meet grading specifications.
. Pave and smooth asphalt.
. Clean and organize saved materials.
. Perform basic maintenance on equipment.
. Clean up chemical spills and other hazardous materials.
. Clear debris and rubble from construction sites.
. Operate machines or equipment used in construction.
. Direct traffic around or near construction sites.
