This role involves frequent travel across the country to oversee multiple project sites.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning, Estimating, and Execution:
Develop and implement project plans aligned with goals, timelines, and available resources.
Assist in preliminary and detailed cost estimating, takeoffs, and quantity assessments to support budgeting and bid development.
Manage daily construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
On-Site Leadership:
Lead and supervise construction teams, ensuring high-quality work and strict adherence to safety standards.
Logistics and Resource Management:
Coordinate logistics and optimize resource allocation for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Quality Assurance:
Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure all construction and renovation activities meet or exceed project specifications and industry standards.
Vendor and Subcontractor Management:
Manage relationships with vendors and subcontractors, ensuring they meet performance, quality, and budget expectations.
Secure competitive bids for materials and services, and assist with scope and cost evaluations.
Travel Requirements:
Frequent travel nationwide to oversee and manage construction projects in various locations (typical project durations: 3–4 months).
Reporting and Analysis:
Provide daily reports, progress updates, and photographic documentation for project tracking and management review.
Collaboration:
Work closely with project management, design, and procurement teams to align estimating, scheduling, and construction activities with organizational goals.
Problem-Solving:
Identify and resolve challenges that arise during construction to minimize delays and budget impacts.
What We’re Looking For
7+ years of experience in construction field management with a strong record of successful project completion.
Experience in project estimating, including takeoffs, scope reviews, and cost tracking.
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field preferred.
Extensive on-site construction leadership experience.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
Ability to adapt to different project environments and travel frequently.
