Position: Construction Sheet Metal Worker
Vacancies: 1 candidate
We are seeking a motivated Construction Sheet Metal Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate must be committed to quality and safety practices. The applicant will help fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products. This is a green job that supports environmentally sustainable practices and contributes to Canada’s net-zero goals.
Job duties:
•Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, and boilers.
•Assemble and connect sheet metal components, and measure and adjust installed metal systems to ensure proper fit, safety, and performance
•Inspect products and installations to ensure full compliance with specifications and quality requirements.
•Run metalworking machinery to cut, punch, drill, shape, and straighten sheet metal according to specifications.
•Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs on HVAC equipment.
•Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance of heating and cooling systems while smoothing and polishing seams, joints, and rough surfaces.
•Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to HVAC installations.
•Collaborate with other trades such as plumbing and electrical to complete installations or repairs.
•Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used for each job.
•Estimate materials, labor, and costs required for projects.
•Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and providing solutions in a timely manner
•Instruct apprentices if needed
•May perform other duties as needed
Qualifications and requirements:
•Education: Minimum High school graduated
•Minimum 1 year of experience in related field
•Prior experience in plumbing is considered a significant asset
•Valid Driver’s licence required
•Reliable, responsible, and punctual
Job Details:
•Job Type: Full-time
•Language of Work: Basic to Intermediate English
•Wage: $37 per hour
•Hours: 40 hours per week
•Schedule: 8 h per day / Monday to Friday
•Work Location: Various Locations across Lower Mainland. Frequent or constant travel is required
