About the Role

We are seeking a Construction Project Accountant to support multiple active commercial projects. This role is critical to maintaining strong cash flow through accurate billing, proactive collections, and compliance with construction contract requirements.

If you have experience with AIA billing, lien waivers, and AR management, this is a strong opportunity to join a growing construction team.

Key Responsibilities

Billing & Revenue Management

Prepare and submit monthly AIA pay applications (G702/G703)
Manage progress billings, retention, and change orders
Ensure timely and accurate invoicing across multiple projects

Compliance & Documentation

Prepare and track partial and final lien waivers
Ensure compliance with contract, owner, and lender requirements

Accounts Receivable & Collections

Monitor AR aging and proactively follow up on outstanding balances
Resolve billing discrepancies to minimize payment delays
Maintain consistent communication with project stakeholders

Systems & Reporting

Process billings through platforms such as Textura
Maintain accurate AR schedules
Assist with month-end close and reporting
Qualifications
3+ years of construction accounting experience
Strong experience with AIA G702/G703 billing
Hands-on experience with lien waivers and AR collections
Solid understanding of construction contracts, retention, and change orders
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Preferred:

Experience with Textura, Sage, or Procore
