D.E.L. Plumbing LTD is a growing company specializing in commercial, industrial, and residential plumbing services in the Greater Toronto Area. The company provides a wide range of services, including hot water tank repair and replacement, general plumbing repairs, frozen, leaking or burst pipe repairs, backflow prevention, drain cleaning and repair, and toilet replacement and repair services.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Construction Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing interior and exterior surfaces on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Duties include preparing surfaces for painting, mixing and applying paints and coatings, repairing minor surface imperfections, installing wall coverings when required, and ensuring high-quality finishes. The position supports DEL PLUMBING LTD.'s construction and renovation projects throughout the Greater Toronto Area while maintaining safe work practices and meeting project specifications and quality standards.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review work specifications to estimate the amount of paint, coating, and other materials required for each project.
• Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by scraping, sanding, cleaning, patching cracks and holes, and applying sealers or primers as needed.
• Mix, match, and thin paints and coatings to achieve the required colour, finish, and texture.
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Measure, cut, and install wallpaper or wall coverings when required.
• Set up and use ladders, scaffolding, and other access equipment safely at job sites.
• Maintain painting tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Assist with advising clients on colour selections, finishes, and wall covering options when required.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Experience: 2 years of work experience in the position
• Education: Completion of secondary school
• Language: Proficient in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
