Construction Materials Technician Job

Keystone Material Testing, LLC, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Construction Materials Technician to join our team. As a Construction Materials Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction projects by conducting inspections, tests, and evaluations on various construction materials. You will be responsible for analyzing samples, interpreting data, and providing accurate reports to project managers and engineers.

Responsibilities
--Conduct inspections and tests on construction materials such as concrete, asphalt, soil, and aggregates
--Collect and analyze samples to determine their properties and quality
--Perform laboratory tests and use specialized equipment to assess material strength, durability, and composition
--Interpret test results and prepare detailed reports for project managers and engineers
--Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
--Collaborate with project team members to identify and address quality control issues
--Maintain accurate records and document findings for future reference

Requirements
--High school diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred but willing to train ideal candidates
--Proven experience as a construction materials technician or similar role preferred but not required
--Knowledge of testing procedures and equipment used in construction material evaluations preferred but not required
--Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
--Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
--Ability to work independently and as part of a team
--Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks in various weather conditions
--Valid NYS driver’s license and willingness to travel and work overtime if necessary
--Certification in relevant testing methods (e.g., ACI, NICET) is a plus
