Permanent Position: Construction Helper
No. of vacancies: 6
Term of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Overtime, Weekend, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, if required.
Work start date: As soon as possible.
Location: 2 - 792 Braveheart Lane, Victoria, BC, V9C 3R5 (Candidate is required to work at various locations as per company’s contracts).
Wage rate: $25.00 per hour for 40 hours per week. Overtime will be paid after 40 hours.
Education: No education requirements.
Experience: No experience required. On the job training will be provided.
Language: Basic knowledge of English.
Job Duties:
• Support technicians in installing fire sprinkler piping, valves, and suppression devices according to blueprints and NFPA standards.
• Measure, cut, thread, and prepare piping sections using manual or power tools under supervision.
• Load, transport, and stage tools, piping, and system components at designated work areas to ensure efficient workflow.
• Clean and maintain tools, fittings, and equipment to ensure readiness and safe operation on job sites.
• Help perform hydrostatic testing, flushing, and inspection of fire suppression systems during installation and commissioning.
• Follow all job site safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and maintaining clean, hazard-free work zones.
• Assist in laying out and securing hangers, brackets, and mounting systems to support piping and system components.
• Keep track of materials used, report any issues or shortages, and communicate job progress to supervisors or lead installers.
Weight Handling: Candidate should be able to lift weight (50lbs).
Working Conditions: Should be willing to work outdoors, indoors, at heights and in all-weather conditions; Physically demanding job; Repetitive tasks.
