Job Description:
Green City Asset Management is a reputable real estate developer specializing in high-quality townhomes and residential communities in Vernon and the surrounding areas. We are currently seeking a Construction Helper to support our construction team in day-to-day building activities and on-site operations.
About the Role
As a Construction Helper, you will work directly with our construction crew to support various tasks on residential building sites. You will assist with material handling, site preparation, basic construction duties, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Your contributions will help ensure our projects progress efficiently and meet our high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist construction workers and tradespeople with daily tasks on active job sites.
• Load, unload, and move construction materials to designated work areas.
• Prepare, clean, and maintain construction sites, including debris removal and basic setup.
• Operate basic hand tools and equipment under supervision.
• Support the installation of building components such as framing, insulation, flooring, or fixtures as instructed.
• Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with site safety regulations at all times.
• Perform general labour duties and assist with other construction-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
• Previous experience as a construction helper, general labourer, or related position is an asset (but not required).
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials is an advantage.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
