Salary: $40.50 per hour
Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible.
Work Location: 14430 Gladstone Dr., Surrey, BC, with occasional travel to project sites in Surrey, the Lower Mainland, and Fraser Valley areas for site assessments, project coordination, and estimating support.

Job Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, and site information to prepare accurate cost estimates for residential and commercial plumbing and heating projects.
• Estimate material, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs and prepare detailed quotations and bids for customers and general contractors.
• Obtain pricing from suppliers and subcontractors and compare costs to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
• Prepare and submit quotations, estimates, and bid proposals within required deadlines.
• Establish and maintain estimating and quotation procedures and set up project cost tracking and reporting methods to monitor project costs.
• Prepare project cost summaries, expense records, and cost updates to monitor project budgets.
• Manage and coordinate construction projects and prepare construction progress schedules.
• Maintain records of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors, including pricing information and contact details, to support estimating and project planning.

Job Requirements

• Completion of Secondary School
• Completion of a three-year college program in civil or construction engineering technology OR several years (Minimum three) of experience as a qualified tradesperson in a plumbing, heating, or other construction trade is required.
• Ability to communicate in English.
