D.E.L. Plumbing LTD is a growing company specializing in commercial, industrial, and residential plumbing services in the Greater Toronto Area. The company provides a wide range of services, including hot water tank repair and replacement, general plumbing repairs, frozen, leaking or burst pipe repairs, backflow prevention, drain cleaning and repair, and toilet replacement and repair services.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Construction Estimator is responsible for preparing cost estimates and tender submissions for commercial, industrial, and residential plumbing projects. Duties include reviewing project drawings and specifications, calculating material and labour costs, obtaining supplier quotations, analyzing project requirements, and preparing accurate budgets and bid proposals to support the company's operations in the Greater Toronto Area.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review project drawings, plans, and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Calculate material, labour, and equipment costs for residential and commercial construction projects.
• Participate in tendering processes, including reviewing bid documents and assisting in bid preparation.
• Recommend competitive pricing strategies and negotiate contract terms when required.
• Monitor project budgets and prepare periodic cost forecasts and expenditure reports.
• Maintain an organized database of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to assess potential changes and provide cost-related insights.
• Assist in the development of project schedules and track progress to ensure alignment with budgets and timelines.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Experience: 2 years of work experience as a Construction Estimator
• Education: Completion of secondary school
• Language: Proficient in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
