Job Duties
• Receive bids from branch offices and review them to determine materials and equipment needed for the bid.
• Create estimates/invoices of materials from construction drawings using computer software applications.
• Create cost and expenditure statements and forecasts at specified intervals for the duration of the project.
• Prepare estimates of probable costs of materials, labor and equipment for projects based on contract bids, quotations and schematic drawings and specifications.
• Work on shop drawings, material specifications, member sizes, required dimensions, welding, bolting, surface preparation, coating requirements and any other information required, using AutoCAD software application.
• Interface with clients to ensure project is explained thoroughly and the expectations are clear.
• Create accurate quantities takeoff based on architectural or engineering drawings.
• Read and interpret changes from addendums and change/modify orders according to scope of work.
• Prepare and maintain directory of all suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and sub-contractors and prepare economic feasibility studies on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
• Manage and coordinate construction projects and prepare construction progress schedules.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
• Completion of a three-year college program or University degree in civil or construction engineering or architecture or related.

equivalent work experience of 2 to 3 years as a qualified tradesperson in a construction trade or related
• 2 to 3 years of related experience is required.
