Construction Coordinator Job

a. Conduct construction observations to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
b. Attend construction progress meetings and pre-work conferences.
c. Assist in reviewing quality assurance and quality control testing.
d. Assist in reviewing submittals and log requests for information, log, and forward Engineer’s supplemental instruction.
e. Assist in reviewing change proposals, pay applications, and recommend for payment (with Engineer approval).
f. Review and monitor construction schedules.
g. Assist in preparation of FAA monthly progress reports.
h. Assist Engineer with substantial completion activities.
i. Assist in reviewing operation and maintenance manuals.
j. Assist in reviewing and attending project closeout activities to include final Engineer report and the upkeep of as-built drawings as required by the Owners.
k. Prepare civil/soil quantity take-off’s, documenting quantities of materials used on the project by actual measurements and computations in field notebooks or computer printouts.
l. Up-keep project record drawings.
m. Coordinate schedule for testing labs, ensuring that all testing required by the specifications is being correctly performed.
n. Ensure that all tests are performed at the frequency stated in testing specifications.
o. Review test reports and certifications for conformance with specifications.
p. Maintain a file of test reports and certifications.
q. Inform contractors and Airport of all non-conforming work.

Bachelors degree and 3 years of experience are required.
