Job Requirements:
Responsibilities & Tasks
1. Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
2. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
3. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
4. Estimate costs and materials
5. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
6. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
7. Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely
8. Install doors, windows, stairs, mouldings, trim, and hardware
9. Coordinate with supervisors, tradespeople, and other construction workers to complete projects efficiently
10. Maintain a clean and safe worksite and follow occupational health and safety procedures.

12. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
