Job Description:

Position: Concrete Polisher
Location: Unit 4, 24 Melham Court, Scarborough, Ontario, M1B 2T8

Job Type: Full-time, permanent employment
Work Hours: at least 30 hours per week, with day, night and weekend shifts
Pay: $43.75 – $46.75 per hour
Benefit: Ten days of paid vacation per year
Educational Requirement: Secondary school diploma
Work Experience Requirement: at least 2 years of experience as Concrete Polisher
Job Responsibilities:
• Utilize computer-aided design and drafting software for project layouts and takeoffs.
• Read job orders and drawings and inspect concrete to ensure final products meet
company standards.
• Level concrete to the desired depth according to the customers’ requirements and specifications.
• Check for defective spots and patch with fresh concrete.
• Use a vibrator to consolidate concrete and remove air pockets and excess water from concrete.
• Finish concrete surfaces with different power and hand tools.
• Apply sealing compound, stone chips and coloring power to cure and provide the requested finish.
• Choose appropriate waterproof and damp-proofing methods depending on concrete locations, water exposure and customer budgets.
• Repair and resurface concrete for restoration projects.
Other Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license
• Driver's validity licence check
• Own vehicle
• Criminal record check
• Willing to travel regularly
Work Setting: On-site customer service, remote location, rural area, urban area, various locations, commercial, industrial and residential.
