Concrete Forms Carpenter Job

-Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine formwork requirements.
-Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wooden or metal formwork used in concrete construction.
-Build and install concrete forms for slabs, balconies, columns, parking structures, and other structural elements.
-Assemble and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, and temporary supports.
-Prepare layouts using measuring tools according to specifications.
-Verify dimensions, alignment, and stability of formwork prior to concrete pours.
-Ensure formwork is properly aligned and secured prior to concrete placement.
-Assist with concrete placement and finishing when required during restoration and construction projects.
-Repair or modify formwork systems used in structural concrete restoration.
-Maintain carpentry tools and equipment and ensure safe working conditions.

Job duties:

-Completion of secondary school is required.
-Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program or a minimum of 3 years of experience in carpentry and concrete formwork construction is required.
-Experience working with concrete formwork systems and structural concrete construction is required.
-Trade certification for carpenters or equivalent credentials is an asset.
-Experience in structural restoration, parking garage rehabilitation, or balcony repair projects is preferred.
-Ability to read construction drawings and follow project specifications.
-Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work at heights when required.
-Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays when necessary.
