Requirements:
• Completion of Secondary School Education is required
• Training will be provided
• Ability to perform physically demanding work
• Strong attention to detail, flexibility and work effectively in a team environment
Responsibilities:
• Assist in preparing, placing, and finishing concrete for sidewalks, curbs, parking lots, roadways, and other construction projects.
• Check forms, granular base, and reinforcement materials before concrete placement.
• Place, spread, level, and smooth freshly poured concrete using hand and power tools under the supervision of experienced concrete finishers.
• Operate concrete vibrators and other equipment to consolidate and finish concrete surfaces.
• Repair minor surface defects and perform patching, resurfacing, and finishing work as required.
• Apply curing compounds and sealers to protect and strengthen finished concrete surfaces.
• Clean, maintain, and safely operate tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with company safety procedures.
• Follow project specifications, safety regulations, and instructions from supervisors while assisting with concrete construction projects throughout the Lower Mainland.
