Concrete Finisher Job

-Prepare, place, level, and finish freshly poured concrete for sidewalks, curbs, foundations, slabs, parking lots, and other structural concrete elements on municipal, commercial, and civil construction projects.
-Inspect and prepare formwork, granular base, reinforcement materials, and concrete forms before concrete placement.
-Operate power vibrators, screeds, floats, trowels, and other hand and power tools to compact and finish concrete.
-Apply curing compounds, sealants, and surface treatments to ensure proper concrete strength and durability.
-Install anchor bolts, embedded fixtures, and reinforcing components in freshly poured concrete, as required.
-Repair, resurface, and restore damaged or deteriorated concrete surfaces.
-Measure, align, and finish concrete surfaces according to project drawings, grades, and specifications.
-Maintain concrete finishing tools, equipment, and construction work areas in a clean and safe condition.
-Work collaboratively with supervisors and construction crew members to complete projects safely and on schedule.

-Secondary school completion preferred.
-Minimum 2 years of experience in concrete construction, concrete finishing, or related construction work is required.
-Experience placing, finishing, curing, repairing, or resurfacing concrete, including concrete formwork and concrete placement on municipal, commercial, or civil construction projects.
-Valid driver's licence is required.
-Trade certification in Concrete Finishing or Cement Masonry is considered an asset.
-Ability to safely operate concrete finishing tools and equipment and follow construction drawings, grades, and project specifications.
-Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and performing physically demanding work, including standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
-Flexible to work weekends, statutory holidays, and overtime, as required.
