Duties of the user support technician include:
• Install, configure, and maintain computer networks (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi) for clients, including network cabling, routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Configure and integrate satellite internet and wireless broadband systems with client networks.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve speed, stability, and security.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on computer and network hardware and software.
• Assist in the planning and deployment of network upgrades or expansions.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and equipment inventory.
• Provide training to clients on network usage, maintenance, and security best practices.
• Install and configure network-related software and perform basic website updates or integrations if required.
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards and company safety procedures.
Requirements for the role:
• College diploma is required.
• At least 1 year of computer network technician work experience or a similar role.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, great communication and exceptional customer service skills.
