Position: Compliance and Administrative Supervisor

Location: Unit# 2 & 3, 188 Wilkinson Road, Brampton, ON, L6T4W9
Salary: $57,200 per annum–The gross salary paid will be subject to all applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions.
Vacation: 4 % of the gross salary
Hours of Work: 30 Hours a week. Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of administrative personnel to ensure timely completion of documentation, reporting, and communication tasks across departments.
• Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met for administrative and operational tasks.
• Develop, implement, and maintain office procedures to improve efficiency, consistency, and regulatory compliance across departments.
• Oversee recordkeeping systems, including the maintenance of driver qualification files, incident and accident logs, drug and background checks, and compliance documentation in accordance with MTO and DOT requirements.
• Monitor CVOR and DOT SAFER records, ensuring updates and required actions are completed in a timely manner.
• Coordinate the preparation and scheduling of internal meetings, management briefings, and board-level reporting.
• Participate in the recruitment, training, and performance monitoring of administrative staff to maintain operational standards.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations by supporting the development of safe operational procedures and conducting risk assessments.
• Maintain inventory levels and supervise procurement of office supplies, shipping materials, and administrative resources.
• Act as a liaison with government authorities during inspections or audits related to safety or regulatory compliance.
• Manage the registration and documentation for company vehicles, including truck and trailer plate renewals and licensing records.

Job Requirements:
• Minimum two years of experience in an administrative role within the transportation or logistics sector is required; prior supervisory experience is preferred.
• Familiarity or ability to understand the current and pending Government Regulations in the industry such as Ministry of Transportation Ontario, Hazmat, Canada Labour Code, U.S. Federal Motor Carrier regulations.
• Completion of secondary school is required; post-secondary education in business administration or a related field is considered an asset.
• Effective communication skills in spoken and written English.
• Ability to understand and analyze complex information and present it simply and accurately.
• An investigative mind, Attention to detail.
• Familiarity or ability to understand the current and pending Government Regulations in the industry such as Ministry of Transportation Ontario, Hazmat, Canada Labour Code, U.S. Federal Motor Carrier regulations.
