Position Info:
• Position: Guest Services Manager
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $38.50/hour
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

Job Duties:
• Plan and oversee daily guest service and housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms and common areas consistently meet the hotel’s cleanliness and service standards
• Supervise housekeeping employees, assign daily responsibilities, monitor work performance, and ensure rooms are prepared according to established hotel procedures
• Recruit, train and support housekeeping team, including providing orientation, operational instruction and ongoing performance feedback
• Develop staff schedules and coordinate housekeeping coverage based on room occupancy, anticipated guest volumes and operational requirements
• Establish and enforce housekeeping procedures, service standards, workplace safety practices and quality-control requirements
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas, identify service or maintenance deficiencies, and coordinate corrective work with maintenance team
• Monitor the use and inventory of linens, guest amenities, cleaning products and housekeeping supplies, and arrange replenishment as required
• Coordinate with suppliers and service providers regarding housekeeping materials, equipment and other operational supplies, including reviewing pricing and service requirements
• Monitor housekeeping-related operating costs and assist with departmental budgeting and expense control to ensure efficient use of labour and supplies
• Review employee performance, address performance or service issues, and implement appropriate training or operational improvements
• Respond to guest concerns relating to room cleanliness, housekeeping services or accommodation standards and ensure issues are resolved promptly and professionally

Job requirements:
• Language: English
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Experience: 3-5 years of supervisory experience in the accommodation industry is required
