Job Opening: CMA / LPN – Private Medical Practice
We are a brand-new, small private medical practice in north Ankeny seeking a compassionate and dependable CMA or LPN to join our starting team. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the clinical operations of a practice built around quality, compassion, and women’s health!
About You:
You're a warm, detail-oriented healthcare professional who thrives in a patient-centered environment. You’re dedicated to providing excellent clinical care and support, while also being adaptable and ready to take on a variety of responsibilities within a small, collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Room patients, obtain and record vitals and patient histories
• Administer injections, assist with procedures, perform point-of-care testing
• Communicate lab results and provider instructions to patients
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure cleanliness and readiness
• Manage medication refills and prior authorizations
• Maintain accurate documentation in the AthenaHealth EHR system
• Uphold HIPAA compliance and ensure patient confidentiality
• Support general office and administrative workflows as needed

What We’re Looking For:
• Active CMA certification or LPN license in the state of Iowa
• Excellent clinical skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
• Comfortable with multitasking and adjusting to changing workflows
• Willingness to support both front and back office operations as needed
Bonus:
• Prior experience in women’s health
• Familiarity with AthenaHealth EHR
• Experience in a startup or small-practice setting
