Job Description

SOS Guttervac Home Services Inc. is seeking a reliable and experienced Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of cleaners and maintenance staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency across multiple job sites.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate the work of cleaners.
• Inspect job sites and facilities to ensure established safety and cleanliness standards are consistently met.
• Recommend or arrange for additional services such as painting, repairs, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
• Hire, train, and evaluate cleaning staff.
• Prepare work schedules and coordinate activities with subcontractors.
• Prepare budgets, estimate costs, and maintain financial records related to cleaning and maintenance operations.
• Collect payments for specialized cleaning projects when applicable.
• Perform cleaning duties when required to ensure service quality and efficiency.

Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school is required; additional training or courses in supervision, facility maintenance, or occupational health and safety are assets.
• Minimum two years of supervisory or managerial experience, preferably within the cleaning or building maintenance sector.
• Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple job sites effectively.
• Sound knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment, including safe use of chemicals and specialized tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead staff and maintain professional client relationships.
• Ability to monitor and ensure compliance with cleanliness, quality, and safety standards.
• Proficiency in record-keeping, scheduling, and cost estimation for cleaning projects.
• Capable of working independently and making sound decisions with minimal supervision.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, or overtime as required.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required; additional languages are an asset.
