A reputable engineering firm is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer / Roadway Design Engineer to join their team and support the preparation of engineering designs, studies, and reports for multimodal transportation infrastructure projects. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering

Professional Engineer (PE) license

At least 5 years of highway design experience

Preferred Experience
Proficiency with MicroStation CADD software to develop plans, profiles, cross-sections, and quantity take-offs for highway design projects

Experience with VDOT or other Virginia localities is a plus

Experience with Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and developing 3D engineered models is desired

Key Responsibilities
Lead and support engineering design efforts, including preparing designs, studies, reports, and verifying project compliance

Develop engineering design details, specifications, contract drawings, and estimates

Participate in presentations, field inspections, and research as needed

Assist with training and mentoring junior staff

Stay current on roadway design trends and methodologies to ensure high-quality project delivery

Work Schedule
Core hours: Monday–Friday, 9 am – 3 pm

Flexible schedule outside of core hours
