Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and responsible Home Child Care Provider to provide attentive and nurturing care to a child in a private household located in Williams Lake, British Columbia. The ideal candidate will be patient, organized, and genuinely enjoy working with children in a family setting.

Responsibilities & Duties:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing full-time care and support to a child, including but not limited to:

Supervising and caring for the child in the employer’s residence

Assisting with daily routines including dressing, feeding, and hygiene

Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks

Organizing activities such as games, reading, and outdoor play to promote learning and development

Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment

Performing light housekeeping and laundry related to child care

Assisting with homework and educational activities as needed

Observing and reporting any concerns regarding the child’s well-being or behavior to the parents

Ensuring emotional support and a positive, nurturing environment

Job Requirements:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of child care or home care experience. Experience working with young children or within a private household setting is an asset.
Certificates / Licenses: CPR and First Aid Certification (mandatory). Additional early childhood or caregiving-related training will be considered an asset.
Language: Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Other Requirements: Must be physically capable of handling child care duties (light lifting, mobility support, etc.). Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate patience, kindness, and responsibility. Must be dependable, trustworthy, and able to work independently without supervision. Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required.
