Salary: $20.00 per hour

Note: Gross wages are subject to applicable federal and provincial taxes and statutory deductions.

Other Benefits: Travel expenses and relocation costs will be covered by the employer

Vacation: 2 weeks paid vacation per year

Hours of Work: 30-40 hours per week; Overtime pay at 1.5 times the regular rate applies after 44 hours per week

Job Responsibilities:
• Provide attentive supervision and care for the child in the employer’s home
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and feeding the child
• Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals; perform light housekeeping related to child care
• Monitor daily routines including meals, naps, and recreational activities
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy home environment
• Teach and reinforce personal hygiene habits
• Support the child’s emotional well-being and foster positive social development
• Apply disciplinary measures as directed by the parents
• Organize educational and recreational activities, such as games, crafts, reading, and outings
• Maintain daily records of the child’s activities and overall health

Employment Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school is required
• Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification
• Formal training in child care or a related field is considered an asset
