Tasks
- Assist with dressing the children, ensuring clean and appropriate clothing for the day, encouraging independence while offering help when needed.
- Provide support and encouragement by offering positive reinforcement and emotional support to boost the children’s confidence and self-esteem.
- Prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks that are nutritious and age appropriate, engaging the children in simple meal-related tasks like washing fruits or stirring ingredients.
- Engage the children in age-appropriate activities that match their interests and developmental level, such as sports, hobbies, and educational games.
- Organize outdoor play and physical activities like bike rides, sports, or trips to the park to encourage physical exercise and exploration.
- Follow consistent sleep schedules by establishing a regular bedtime routine to ensure the children get adequate rest, adjusting for their age and daycare or school schedule.
- Ensure the children's safety by supervising appropriately, teaching them about safety rules, and ensuring the environment is safe.
- Provide emotional care and comfort by being available to listen and talk, helping the children navigate their emotions, and encouraging positive behavior.
- Keep play and dining areas clean and organized by encouraging the children to take responsibility for tidying up their own spaces, while assisting as needed.
- May be needed to transport the children to school, daycare, extracurricular activities, and playdates safely and on time.
