Child Caregiver Job

I am looking for a reliable, patient and responsible child caregiver to provide attentive care for our 4-year old child in a safe and nurturing environment!

Position: Child Caregiver (NOC 44100)
Terms of Employment: Full-time (30 - 40 hours per week); Permanent employment after a one-month probation period
Hourly Wage: $21 - $23, based on experience
Benefits: 10 days of paid vacation; Free parking; Snacks and meals provided
Expected Start Date: As soon as possible
Work Location: Panatella Hill NW, Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide attentive, responsible, and age-appropriate care for a 4-year-old child.
• Treat the child with kindness, patience, and compassion
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the child and encourage healthy eating habits
• Communicate with parents regarding daily activities, progress, or concerns
• Transport children to and from preschool or extracurricular activities safely, as required.
• Assist with light household cleaning and sanitizing related to the child’s care
• Bathe and dress the child when necessary

Position Requirements and Qualifications:
• Education: College diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year in a child-related field, OR high school completion with equivalent child-care experience
• Experience: Several months (approximately 1-7 months) of child-care work experience
• Language: English required; Chinese is an asset
• Background: No Criminal history and no medical issues
• Other requirements:
Not smoking; Exceptional patience and ability to remain calm at all times; Positive, fun and enthusiastic attitude; Physically able to perform tasks, including sitting on the floor, bending, and standing
