Job Requirements:
Education Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. (Required)
2. CPA, MBA, or Master of Finance/Management is required.
Work Experience Requirements:
1. Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior financial management roles. (Required)
2. Minimum 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with a track record of managing finance and accounting teams. (Required)
Other Requirements:
1.Expertise in reading and interpreting complex financial reports and communicating findings to stakeholders.
2.Extensive knowledge of Canadian financial regulations, including tax laws, corporate governance, and standards.
3.Proven skills in financial management, including monitoring, allocation, and control of finances.
4.Strong leadership and analytical skills, with the ability to mentor and manage teams effectively.
5.Proficiency in presenting financial analyses and projections to stakeholders.
6.Adaptability in a fast-paced environment and a problem-solving mindset.
7.Budget-focused approach and attention to detail.
8.Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Develop, monitor, and implement financial objectives and strategies to support Victoria Education Solutions' growth and expansion.
2.Analyze financial performance across programs, advising senior leadership on budget allocation, resource optimization, and investments.
3.Oversee financial operations across all sectors, ensuring compliance with Canadian regulations.
4.Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
5.Allocate funds effectively to optimize departmental performance and achieve organizational goals.
6.Manage cash flow, preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports.
7.Select middle managers or directors within the finance and operations divisions.
8.Build and mentor a high-performing finance team to meet the organization’s growing demands.
9.Collaborate with senior leaders across programs (college, high school, and specialized training) to align financial and operational objectives.
10.Supervise financial operations at multiple locations and support international expansion initiatives.
11.Perform other duties as assigned.
