TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Permanent, Full time, Weekends, Evening and Morning shifts
SPECIFIC SKILLS
• Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, biryanis, and breads.
• Plan menus and develop new recipes while maintaining traditional flavors and quality standards.
• Estimate food requirements and order ingredients and kitchen supplies.
• Monitor food costs, inventory, and stock levels to reduce waste and control expenses.
• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of cooks and other kitchen staff.
• Train and instruct kitchen employees in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
• Ensure all meals are prepared and presented according to restaurant standards.
• Prepare and cook specialty meals for banquets, catering events, and special occasions.
• Inspect food ingredients for freshness, quality, and proper storage.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Monitor portion sizes and food quality to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrate proper use of kitchen equipment and introduce new cooking techniques when required.
• Maintain records of food inventory, kitchen supplies, and ingredient usage.
• Coordinate with management to plan daily specials and seasonal menu items.
• Ensure timely preparation of orders while maintaining high standards of taste, presentation, and service.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND PERSONAL SUITABILITY
• A positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Customer service oriented
• Experience of motivating and leading team.
• Ability to remain calm whilst under pressure and fast paced environment and prioritize tasks.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High school or equivalent experience
1-2 years experience is required
