Chaplain Job

As an integral member of the Interdisciplinary team, the chaplain completes the spiritual assessment as part of the comprehensive assessment and develops a plan of care which addresses the patient’s and their loved ones spiritual/ religious concerns and needs by establishing the patient’s and loved ones’ goals.

1. Graduate of accredited seminary or school of theology (B.D., M.Div. or equivalent) and/or experience working with death and dying, individuals/family/caregiver.

2. Ability to work as member of interdisciplinary group.

3. Comfort in an interfaith setting.

4. Ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values.

5. Ability to network with community clergy and congregations.

6. Knowledge of and commitment to hospice philosophy of care.

7. Candidates must be PC/EMR (Electronic Medical Records) literate and have keyboard fluency.

8. Must have a clean, acceptable driver's license with reliable transportation.

9. Hospice/palliative care experience preferred. Completion of two units of Clinical Pastoral Education and working towards professional certification preferred.
