Certified Pharmacy Technician Job

Medication Preparation: Assist in the accurate preparation and dispensing of prescription medications, including counting pills, measuring liquids, and labeling prescriptions.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service.
Inventory Management: Maintain inventory by ordering medications and supplies, conducting regular stock checks, and managing storage of pharmaceuticals according to safety standards.
Prescription Verification: Assist in verifying prescription accuracy, including reviewing patient medication histories and ensuring proper dosage and labeling.
Administrative Support: Manage patient profiles, process insurance claims, and input prescription orders into the pharmacy management system.
Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all state and federal laws regarding medication distribution, safety protocols, and patient confidentiality. Ensure the pharmacy follows health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work alongside pharmacists, healthcare providers, and other pharmacy technicians to optimize patient care.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is not required, but highly recommended.
Certifications: A valid Certified Pharmacy Technician license.
Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately dispense medication.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency with pharmacy management software and basic computer applications.
Knowledge of drug names, dosages, side effects, and interactions.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
