Cement Finisher Job

Italform Limited is a Canadian owned company specialized in high rise residential concrete forming construction since 1959. This specialty sector includes the forming of all horizontal and vertical elements of the structure, installing reinforcing rebar, pouring and finishing of concrete and erection, climbing and dismantling of the tower crane. The Company is affiliated with LiUNA Local 183 Union and International Operating Engineers Local 793.

Italform is looking for skilled and qualified Cement Finishers who want to make a career for themselves within the trade. Working at heights is a requirement for the role. Candidates must be creative, possess precision in duties, work well with others, ability to work under pressure and implement problem solving ability when required.

Salary- $48.57 hourly / 37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities/ Tasks
Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials
Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade
Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement
Operate power vibrators to compact concrete
Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification
Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
