Cellular Telephone Technician Job

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair telecommunications equipment and systems
- Install, maintain, and service telephone and wireless communication equipment
- Test installed systems and identify transmission or network faults
- Analyze test results and perform necessary repairs, adjustments, or upgrades
- Install and configure cable modems, telecommunications software, and internet connectivity solutions
- Repair or replace defective cables, power supplies, amplifiers, and related hardware
- Operate computerized testing equipment and diagnostic systems
- Complete service reports, testing documentation, and maintenance records
- Determine causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions
- Provide technical guidance and training to apprentices and junior technicians
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and customer service expectations
- Travel to various client locations as required

Qualifications
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of telecommunications, wireless communications, or telephone installation/repair experience
- Strong understanding of telecommunications systems and equipment
- Experience using computerized testing and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and troubleshooting procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's licence and ability to travel regularly

Preferred Skills
- Experience with cellular and wireless communication systems
- Telephone installation and repair experience
- Network troubleshooting knowledge
- Experience working in field service environments

- Field-based position with frequent travel to customer sites
