Job Description:
Holman is currently accepting applications for the role of Procurement Category Lead I.
Principal Purpose of Position:
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, in line with current corporate strategy to provide for continual improvement in sourcing
- Analyze internal customer’s needs and investigate potential new suppliers
- Lead, support and manage the RFP process to obtain the best possible terms with suppliers
- Serve as a liaison between suppliers and legal department during contract negotiation
- Submit necessary paperwork to ensure completeness and compliance with company policy related to suppliers (Contract, Vendor Access Agreement, COI)
- Play a key role in communicating change of suppliers and implementation of same with key operations personnel
- Analyze contracts, invoices and documentation for compliance with existing agreements (KPIs, SLAs, price). Create detailed reports based on findings and follow up on resolutions
- Analyze and calculate current costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditures
- Monitor vendor performance and investigate vendor complaints to ensure a satisfactory resolution for all parties
- Ability to identify how suppliers affect the company across all business lines and how changes in the relationship may impact other areas of the business
- Support special projects or initiatives as required
Education and/or Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Information Systems, or related fields.
- Working knowledge of Iaas/Paas cost drivers, consumption models, and FinOp principles; able to partner with Centers of Excellence or architects to right-size solutions.
- Familiar with PCI-DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar regulatory framework
- Clear understanding of contract terms and conditions
- CPSM certification preferred
Relevant Work Experience:
- Tableau and/or PowerBI, and cost-modeling
- Hands-on-sourcing or vendor-management experience with payment processors, core banking or trading platforms, RegTech, or digital assets infrastructure.
- 5-8 years strategic sourcing/category management, with at least 3 years owning complex IT spend (software, Saas, cloud, hardware) and financial-services/treasury spend (payment platforms, banking services, risk and compliance tools)
- Proven ability to run full source-to-contract lifecycle, negotiate master agreements, and drive measurable savings/ROI
Planning/Organizing/Managerial Knowledge:
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Attention to detail, accuracy in addition to the ability to work effectively independently and as a team member.
- Must have strong time management and organizational skills.
- Desire to learn new skills / concepts.
