Job Duties:
• Welcome and greet customers as they enter the gas station and convenience store
• Determine the price of goods and services, including snacks, drinks, coffee, lottery tickets, tobacco and calculate the total payment using an electronic cash register, optical price scanner, or other equipment.
• Receive and process payments by cash, check, credit card, or automatic debit for purchases made at the gas station and convenience store.
• Bag or wrap merchandise carefully for customers, ensuring safe and convenient handling of their purchases.
• Provide customers with information about products, services, and store policies, including details about lottery tickets, tobacco products etc.
• Calculate total payments received at the end of the work shift and reconcile them with the total sales to ensure accurate financial records.
• Verify the age of customers when selling age-restricted items such as lottery tickets, tobacco products and liquor in compliance with legal requirements.
• Stock shelves with merchandise and maintain a clean and organized checkout counter area to create a welcoming shopping environment.
