Key Responsibilities
Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
Operate the cash register and point-of-sale (POS) system
Scan merchandise accurately and efficiently
Accept and process various forms of payment (cash, cheques, credit/debit cards)
Issue receipts, refunds, or change as required
Count and reconcile cash drawer totals at the end of each shift
Answer basic customer inquiries and provide product information
Promote sales through suggestive selling techniques
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the cashier area
Follow all safety, security, and company policies and procedures
