We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing transactions accurately and efficiently while delivering excellent customer service. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service
Accurately scan items and process transactions (cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments)
Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with company policy
Maintain an organized and clean checkout area
Count cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift
Assist customers with questions regarding products, pricing, and promotions
Resolve customer concerns in a calm and professional manner
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus
Strong basic math skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to handle cash responsibly and operate a POS system
Dependable, honest, and punctual
Ability to stand for extended periods
Work Schedule:
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
