Carpet Layer Installer Job

Boys Tile and Flooring Ltd. is looking to hire one Carpet Layer Installer for their business located at 1181 Natures Gate, Victoria, British Columbia, V9B 0B4.This is a full time, permanent job position with 8 hours a day and 40 hours per week.

As a Carpet Layer Installer, you will be performing the following job duties:

- Prepare surfaces by inspecting, measuring, and marking areas for carpet installation.
- Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and under padding of carpet.
- Measure, cut and install carpeting using hand or machine stitched, seaming iron, bonding tape or other bonding materials.
- Stretch and secure carpeting using knee kickers or power stretchers, fastening materials with staple guns or other tool.
- Install resilient flooring by measuring, cutting, and securing materials with adhesives and specialized hand tools.
- Inspect and carry out repairs to damaged floor covering.

Job Requirements:

- Completion of high school education is required.
- 2-3 years of experience required.
- English as a Language skill is required.

What we offer:

- $30.00 per hour
- 4% vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period.
