Job requirements
• Experience working with concrete formwork systems, including PERI, DOKA, ALUMA , or comparable formwork systems;
• Experience using construction management software including Procore and Smartsheet.
• Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques, including various methods of dry finishing;
• Practical carpentry experience in high-rise concrete formwork construction projects.

A college diploma in construction, civil engineering or architectural technology plus several years of related work experience or several years of experience as a qualified tradesperson in carpentry.

Job Duties:
• Examine specifications, drawings, and site layouts for new construction, building renovations and other proposed structures
• Inspect the construction of formwork to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
• Inspect completed concrete formwork to verify quality and ensure compliance with specifications and drawings before concrete placement.
• Identify, document, and report deficiencies, defects, and instances of non-compliance with specifications and drawings.
• Where deficiencies or non-compliance are identified, recommend appropriate corrective measures. Upon completion of the remedial work, reinspect the corrected work to verify compliance with specifications and drawings.
• Perform final quality control inspections and sign-offs for completed formwork in coordination with clients' construction managers or general contractors.
• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate quality control procedures and inspection activities to ensure that completed formwork consistently complies with project specifications and drawings.
