Job Duties:
• Prepare work sites and facilities by loading and unloading materials, tools, and facilities.
• Assemble and break down barricades, temporary structures, and scaffolding with attention to safety.
• Assist professionals, such as roofers, carpenters, electricians, painters, etc. as required.
• Inspect harmful materials such as asbestos and determine locations to remove them safely.
• Assist with transport equipment and operate them as directed.
• Dig holes and other structures to prepare for the construction site.
• Smooth and level new material installed and pasted in the construction process.
• Use equipment to break out old forms and structures of the building.
• Sort and Remove debris, garbage, and dangerous materials from sites according to environmental standards.
• Place traffic signals where appropriate.
• Follow all health and safety regulations when operating equipment or walking on the work sites, even when not on active duty.
• Maintain equipment used in asbestos removal projects, including respirators and protective clothing.
• Keep a brisk and productive pace of work to complete all assigned tasks within time constraints.
Job Requirements:
• Completion of a secondary school
• Experience as an asset
