Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
Compensation: $37.00 per hour
Hours of Work: 30-40 hours per week
Start Date: As soon as possible

Benefits: 4% vacation pay remuneration. Extended health benefits provided after 3 months of probation period.

Job Duties
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to confirm specifications and work requirements.

• Plan and lay out work using measuring tools in accordance with building codes and project standards.

• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood, wood substitutes, and other materials using hand and power tools.

• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect wall and roof systems.

• Fit and install doors, windows, stairs, mouldings, and other finishing components.

• Repair, maintain, and replace damaged structural and finishing elements as required.

• Supervise apprentices and other workers when assigned, and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.

• Prepare basic material take-offs and cost estimates when requested.

Job Requirements
Education: Completion of secondary school
Experience: Completion of a three or four-year apprenticeship program or equivalent experience in the trade is required.
