Job Opportunity: Carpenter

Location: 3007 Alpine Crescent, Whistler, BC V8E 0B8 + various job sites in and around Whistler
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time (30 hours/week)
Wage: $36.60/hour
Vacation Pay: 4% of wages

Whistler Hive Renovations Ltd. is a growing renovation company based in Whistler, BC. We specialize in custom residential and commercial carpentry, millwork, and renovations. We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches
• Prepare layouts in accordance with building codes using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials such as wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel
• Install finishing carpentry elements: trim, molding, baseboards, crown molding, window trim, and door casings
• Perform kitchen cabinet installations and custom millwork
• Execute framing work including walls, floors, roofs, and structural framework
• Install support structures such as beams, columns, and load-bearing elements

Experience:
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in finishing carpentry
• Proficient in SketchUp 3D modeling
• Experience in both finishing and framing carpentry preferred
Other Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle (job sites vary)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Language:
• Fluent in spoken and written English
