Hollyburn Country Club is currently in search of a Carpenter for the Greater Vancouver area. This is a full-time, permanent position with working hours ranging from 30 to 40 hours per week, offering a competitive rate of $30.00 per hour. The position includes a vacation allowance of 4%.
Additionally, we provide comprehensive extended health and dental benefits, along with life and disability insurance coverage. The start date for this role is as soon as possible.
As a Carpenter, you will be expected to perform the following duties:
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.
• Supervise apprentices and other construction workers.
• Prepare cost estimates for clients.

• Must have some at least 2 years of work experience.
• Must have excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize.
• Must be able to handle stress and work in a very fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional in difficult situations.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours.
• Must be able to provide at least one professional reference upon request.
