Job Description:
Maplewall Walls & Ceiling Ltd is looking for two carpenters for their business located at 14740 89A Avenue Surrey BC, V3R 7Z9. This job is full time with 8 hours a day and 40 hours per week.
As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing the following job duties:
-Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for steel framing and ceiling work.
-Measure and prepare layouts for walls, partitions, bulkheads, and ceiling systems.
-Measure, cut, assemble, and install steel studs, metal tracks, and framing components.
-Construct steel-framed walls, door openings, window openings, and suspended ceilings.
-Install backing, bracing, supports, anchors, and related framing materials.
-Use hand tools, power tools, levels, and measuring equipment accurately.
-Adjust and trim framing materials around ducts, pipes, fixtures, and irregular surfaces.
-Follow building codes, project specifications, and workplace safety procedures.
-Inspect completed steel framing and ceiling work to ensure proper alignment, stability, and compliance with project -requirements.

Requirements:
-Completion of secondary school is required.
-2-4 years of work experience is required.
-English as a language skill is required.
-Willing to travel to different locations, including Kelowna, Victoria, Prince George, and Golden, for several weeks at a time.
What we offer:
-$38.50 per hour.
-4% vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period.
-Terms of Employment: Full-time permanent position.
-Location of Work - Various locations all over Lower mainland
