Job Location: Varies from contract to contract.

Job Duties:
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
• Measuring, cutting, and joining materials made of wood or wood substitutes
• Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware
• Maintain, repair, and renovate wooden structures in residences and commercial spaces.
• Supervise other construction helpers.
• Ensure compliance to agreed codes and procedures including health and safety
• Help owner in preparing cost estimates for clients.
