Carpenter Job

Diamond Carpet Centre Ltd. is looking for one carpenter for their business located at 7750 128 Street Suit 102 Surrey, British Columbia, V3W 4E6. This is a full-time position with 8 hours a day and 40 hours per week.

As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing the following job duties:

- Review and analyze blueprints, and sketches to identify requirements and estimate materials needed.
- Install, repair, and maintain wooden flooring, including hardwood, engineered wood, and laminate.
- Measure, cut, and install wooden planks with precision to ensure flawless fitting and alignment.
- Prepare subfloors for installation, ensuring proper leveling and cleaning.
- Sand, stain, and finish wooden floors to meet aesthetic and durability standards.
- Assist with the layout and design of flooring patterns, ensuring they align with client preferences and architectural features of the space.
- Operate efficiently while maintaining adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and to customer satisfaction.
- Complete any additional tasks as delegated.

Job Requirements:

- Completion of secondary school is required.
- 2-3 years of experience is required.
- English as a language is required.
- Trade certification for carpenters is not mandatory but will be an asset.

What we offer:

- $37.00 per hour.
- 4% vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period.
- Terms of Employment: Full-time permanent position.
