Salary: $34.62 per hour
Work location(s): Surrey, BC, and various other job sites in Lower Mainland (BC) areas as per the company’s contracts with its clients.
Job Responsibilities
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings, perform calculations, and prepare layouts.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• Finish surfaces of woodwork in houses and buildings, using hand tools and paneling.
• Work on new projects remodels, or additions to existing wooden structures.
• Build foundations, install floor beams and subflooring, build walls, and install partitions.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
• Supervise other construction workers.
Job Requirements
• Completion of Secondary School
• Completion of an apprenticeship program in a relevant trade or a Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar trade is required.
• Ability to communicate in English.
